A highly regarded contractor is seeking a Roofing Estimator to join their team. They are open to remote workers if they have the right background. This position offers a competitive base salary, comprehensive benefits, and an attractive bonus program.

• Prepare accurate and thorough job estimates.
• Assess project labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing proposals, blueprints, written specifications, and related documents.
• Perform blueprint reviews and take-offs.
• Solicit bids from subcontractors.
• Collect subcontractor pricing and conduct scope reviews.
• Evaluate subcontractor bids against bid documents and plans to ensure all aspects of the project are covered.
• Calculate costs for subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
• Work closely with clients to help them meet project budget goals by evaluating plan details, suggesting alternative materials/finishes, and proposing different building methods.
• Produce profit and loss (P&L) reports.

• At least 2 years of experience in Roofing Estimation.
• Experience using bid boards to find projects to bid on.
• Solid understanding of roofing documentation.
• General contracting knowledge.
• Ability to write and review contracts.
• Familiarity with various roofing systems, materials, construction processes, and theories.
• Capable of identifying, correcting, and reporting unsafe conditions in line with company policies and OSHA standards.
