Construction Manager/ Foreman
Heartland Concrete & Construction is seeking an organized, proactive Project Coordinator to support field leadership and Project Managers on active commercial construction projects.
This field-based role connects daily jobsite operations with project management through work planning, trade coordination, logistics, documentation, and Procore management. The position reports to the Project Manager and works closely with Superintendents, Foremen, general contractors, and other trades.
What You’ll Do:
Field Coordination & Logistics
- Stay informed of daily and upcoming work plans, including manpower, work areas, concrete pour sizes and sequencing, schedules, and project milestones.
- Participate in jobsite coordination meetings, communicate Heartland’s established work plans and logistical needs, and document discussions and follow-up actions.
- Identify and elevate trade conflicts, access challenges, logistical issues, and schedule risks to project leadership.
- Coordinate and track concrete, pump truck, and laser screed orders, equipment needs, staging areas, specialty services, and shared site access.
- Track daily activities and progress, communicate updates, and help field leadership prepare for upcoming work and coordination discussions.
Compliance & Quality Documentation
- Submit and track required permits and approvals through project systems, ensuring documentation is submitted and reviewed before excavation, ground penetration, or work affecting existing infrastructure.
- Coordinate work-area verification with survey teams and designated compliance personnel.
- Help ensure pre-pour inspections, quality checklists, and required forms are completed before work begins, and maintain organized inspection records.
Procore & Project Management Support
- Serve as the primary field contact for Procore, keeping jobsite and office information current and accurate.
- Manage drawings, revisions, and sketches so crews have the current information.
- Prepare and submit RFIs and submittals, including product data, mix designs, and shop drawings; track responses and approvals through completion.
- Complete T&M tickets documenting labor, equipment, and materials for extra work, and obtain required signatures.
- Support change order development and monthly billing by gathering quantities, percent complete, T&M records, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain project logs, reports, coordination notes, and Procore records for reporting, billing, and closeout.
The Project Coordinator communicates established plans and supports project decisions. Field execution, sequencing changes, and operational commitments remain with the Superintendent and project leadership. Pricing, contract changes, and final billing approval remain with the Project Manager.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in construction coordination, project administration, or a similar role.
- Understanding of construction processes, field workflows, project plans, and schedules.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities on an active jobsite.
- Confidence communicating in group settings, preparing for coordination meetings, and offering practical input on logistics and coordination issues.
- Procore experience strongly preferred, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, T&M tickets, and change events; familiarity with Autodesk or similar platforms is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- OSHA 10-hour certification required; OSHA 30-hour preferred.
This position works primarily on active jobsites, with early morning starts aligned with field operations. Heartland provides a company computer, company phone, and field workspace in a truck, trailer, or designated site office.
