Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator with a strong background in paving and flatwork across commercial, civil, and industrial markets.
Project Types Include- Commercial parking lots & developments
- Slipform paving (roads, streets, trails)
- Curb & gutter
- Heavy-duty industrial slabs
- Structural flatwork
- Municipal & DOT concrete paving
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for all concrete scopes
- Estimate labor, equipment, and production rates
- Develop accurate and competitive bids
- Solicit and level subcontractor & supplier pricing
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports
- Identify risk and develop contingency strategies
- Assist with project handoff to operations
- Track historical cost data and refine bidding strategy
- 3+ years experience bidding concrete projects
- Strong background in paving and flatwork
- Experience bidding commercial, municipal, or industrial projects
- Knowledge of concrete placement methods (slipform & hand-set)
- Understanding of production rates and crew efficiency
- Proficiency in estimating software (Agtek, HCSS, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills
- Field experience highly preferred
- Salary based on experience bidding concrete projects
- Performance-based incentives available
