Turn the model into something the field can actually build.

We’re partnering with our client, an established mechanical contractor looking for an experienced Building Information Modeler (BIM) to join its growing team. This is an opportunity for someone who understands that BIM isn’t just about creating a clean 3D model—it’s about anticipating conflicts, thinking through constructability, and giving project and field teams information they can trust.

If you have strong Revit skills, hands-on MEP modeling experience, and an understanding of how mechanical and plumbing systems come together in the field, this could be an excellent next step.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work closely with project managers, estimators, field leadership, and other trades to develop and maintain coordinated BIM models from preconstruction through installation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Create and maintain detailed MEP models in Autodesk Revit
  • Turn construction drawings, specifications, redlines, and design intent into accurate, constructable models
  • Produce coordinated views, shop-drawing support, details, schedules, and other model-based deliverables
  • Participate in multi-trade coordination and identify clashes, routing issues, and constructability concerns before they reach the field
  • Support prefabrication, spooling, hangers, and model-to-shop workflows
  • Prepare layout information for sleeves, hangers, fixtures, equipment, and other field installation needs
  • Coordinate backgrounds and linked models with architects, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors
  • Assist with scan-to-BIM, existing-condition verification, and as-built updates
  • Keep models organized, accurate, and current throughout changing project conditions
  • Support project teams with model-based quantities and prefabrication information
  • Help improve BIM standards, templates, families, and workflows
What They’re Looking For Must Haves:
  • Previous experience as a BIM Modeler, Revit Technician, BIM/VDC professional, or similar
  • MEP modeling experience is required
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
  • Understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and related building systems
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and field markups
  • Experience using Bluebeam
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both office and field teams
Nice to Haves
  • GTP Stratus
  • Trimble Field Points or similar field-layout technology
  • Navisworks or other clash-detection software
  • Electrical BIM or electrical construction
  • Mechanical/plumbing field experience
  • Shop drawings, prefabrication, or fabrication coordination
  • Autodesk/Revit certifications or formal BIM/VDC training

If you’re a BIM professional who understands MEP construction and enjoys turning complex drawings into coordinated, field-ready solutions, we’d like to hear from you.
