The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, NE, is recruiting an Addiction Medicine Physician to join our Addiction Division faculty. This position offers a unique blend of clinical care, teaching, and academic involvement.
You will provide patient care in a busy addiction treatment clinic where addiction medicine physicians and addiction psychiatrists collaborate, while also teaching fellows, psychiatry residents, family medicine residents, and third‑year medical students.
Our growing Addiction Division includes:- Outpatient addiction psychiatrist
- Psychiatrist board‑certified in addiction medicine leading the Addiction Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service
- Emergency medicine physician and pediatrician, both board‑certified in addiction medicine
- Child and adolescent psychiatrist who is board‑certified in addiction medicine
- Teach with national leaders in addiction medicine education and research
- Multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals and nurses in collegial environment

- Potential to develop innovative programs in integrated collaborative care
- Pursue research and career growth opportunities, including potential leadership as Fellowship Program Director
- Contribute to our ACGME‑accredited Addiction Medicine Fellowship, now recruiting for its 6th year
