Job Summary

Acute Care Surgeon Opportunity.

The Division of Acute Care Surgery (ACS) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha is seeking a dedicated Acute Care Surgeon to join our collaborative and supportive team of 20 surgeons and a robust group of APPs.

Our partner hospital, Nebraska Medicine, is an American College of Surgeons-designated Level I Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, managing a high volume of complex cases.

  • 3,100+ trauma-related admissions annually
  • 2,100+ emergency general surgery cases per year

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board‑certified or board‑eligible in Surgical Critical Care, has completed a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care, and demonstrates a strong interest in teaching residents and medical students.
