The Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha is actively recruiting an Infectious Diseases physician to join our faculty. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to specialized , including biocontainment, solid organ transplant, oncology, and critical care.
Join a robust team of 30 , supported by APPs, clinical, and research staff, delivering the full spectrum of infectious disease care at our clinical partner, Nebraska Medicine. Our division is deeply committed to subspecialty , cutting‑edge research, and graduate medical education through our program.
Highlights:- Associate Medical Director of the Biocontainment Unit (BCU) – play a key role in one of the nation’s premier biocontainment programs.
- Critical Care Coverage – assist in managing infectious disease cases in critical care settings.
- Inpatient – provide specialized care for solid organ transplant and oncology lines.
- Associate Medical Director of Infection Control – contribute to infection prevention initiatives.

The ideal candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who is board certified/eligible in Infectious Diseases.
