Substitute ESL Instructor position available | Located at the Learning Community Center of South Omaha

We are seeking a mission-driven English as a Second Language Instructor to join our team!

The LCCSO's ESL Instructor is primarily responsible for teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) to groups of parents with varying English proficiency and literacy levels. The ESL Instructor collaborates with the Learning Community Center's instructional manager to activate and support long-term strategies for helping parents better support their children’s education.

We have a Substitute ESL Instructor position available. As needed for 3-hour classes during the class time hours (Monday - Friday, 9am - 8pm). Daytime availability preferred.

While ESL for Parents is an important part of the LCCSO, the center also offers children and families from South Omaha opportunities to obtain other essential skills proven to improve children’s outcomes in elementary school and beyond. Classes for parents include Circle of Security Parenting, GED, nutritious cooking, and computer training. Early childhood classes for young children are provided on-site during the hours that the parents are in class.
