Program Specialist (3rd Grade - 12th Grade)

With a relentless focus on helping boys attain high school graduation and be prepared to pursue higher education or gainful employment, North Star seeks to change lives, one young man at a time.
We offer a 10‑month hourly position that coordinates with the Omaha Public Schools school‑year calendar. The Program Staff deliver academic program delivery to prepare youth for academic success and assist with activities such as sports, tutoring and clubs. They also provide a safe and fun environment for boys to grow into responsible young men.
Responsibilities- Deliver academic programming and support to boys from grades 3 through 12.
- Assist in supervising students during sports, tutoring, clubs, and other activities.
- Maintain a safe and fun environment for student growth.
- Serve as a positive role model and mentor.
- Build appropriate relationships with students and their families.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- First Aid and CPR certification or obtain through North Star within the first 6 months of employment.
- Ability to effectively interact with families and children from different backgrounds with empathy and cultural awareness.
- Availability Monday – Friday 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
