What you will do:
The Education Service Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Education Service program or programs, which have a broad scope. Duties are based on the assigned program and generally involve participating in the more complex aspects of the work. An Education Service Coordinator will possess the necessary technical, professional, and leadership skills to administer the program.
Qualifications:
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health, social service, business, education, or related field plus 6 months of relevant work experience in program administration, development, evaluation, or contract management.
- OR Associate's degree in a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience.
- OR 5 years of experience in program administration, development, evaluation, or contract management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Program and contract administration;
- Supervision principles;
- State regulations relevant to the program;
- Program evaluation and monitoring techniques;
- Data collection and analysis methods;
- Budgeting practices;
- Cultural competency and awareness of diverse attitudes and beliefs.
Skills to:
- Provide effective customer service;
- Interact patiently with individuals with little or no prior knowledge of services;
- Work with diverse opinions and viewpoints;
- Perform public speaking and presentations professionally;
- Develop students’ cognitive, emotional, social skills;
- De-escalate and respond to crises;
- Foster students’ self-esteem.
Ability to:
- Communicate effectively in speech and writing;
- Manage time efficiently and meet deadlines;
- Work under stress and in sensitive situations;
- Establish cooperative relationships and collaborate effectively;
- Use technology applications like Microsoft Office Suite;
- Lead, train, evaluate, and supervise staff;
- Conduct research and data collection;
- Review proposals and compliance documents;
- Work with diverse groups;
- Plan and evaluate work effectively;
- Implement policy directives;
- Maintain excellent attendance;
- Demonstrate a philosophy that all students can learn;
- Understand individual student needs;
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
