Continuing Education Instructor- After School STEM Instructor

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYMCC’s Continuing Education division is seeking enthusiastic instructors to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences for after school STEM classes during the 2026-27 school year. Topics could include, and are not limited to: technology (coding, robotics, drones, etc.), biological sciences, environmental sciences, and engineering. Instructors introduce students to STEM concepts in a safe, supportive, and interactive environment. Responsibilities include leading activities from the curriculum, supervising participants, promoting student engagement, and creating a positive learning experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Teaching experience (children and teens)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to deliver engaging and practical course content from a provided curriculum

Passion for teaching and a commitment to helping others achieve personal growth and enrichment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of technology (coding, robotics, drones, etc.), biological sciences, environmental sciences, and/or an area of engineering

This position will have opportunities for teaching assignments throughout the year. After school programming will typically be from 2:30PM-5:30PM during the week.
