Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
RoleWe are seeking a skilled PE in Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for a variety of construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Design electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, communication, security, and fire alarm systems.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into the building design.
- Conduct load calculations and energy efficiency assessments to optimize system performance and to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Review and analyze project requirements, proposals, and technical reports.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of electrical systems on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, technology, and regulations to ensure innovative and sustainable design solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with electrical emphasis.
- PE registration in South Dakota or the ability to obtain within 1 month of hire.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
- Experience with lighting software or SKM Power Tools.
- Working knowledge of building, energy, electrical, and life safety codes.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and use time productively to maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
- Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and values.
- Ability to demand the highest standard of ethical conduct from self and others.
- Ability to travel as needed for projects.
