As a Purchasing Agent supporting M.C. Dean’s growing businesses, you will act as a key liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing. You will work closely with core Program/Project teams to manage high‑visibility, high‑value programs, applying program and project management skills to ensure timely and efficient execution of our portfolio of projects.

• Act as a key liaison between Procurement and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with Program/Project teams to manage high‑visibility and high‑value programs.
• Participation in bidding phase: procurement planning, understanding contract specs, sourcing vendors, developing RFPs, analyzing quotes, negotiating agreements, developing procurement plans, and managing post‑award implementation.
• Transition bid‑phase documents and knowledge to project teams and engage in procurement planning and execution.
• Capture and communicate market intelligence across projects and programs.
• Incorporate current market conditions into procurement plans (pricing trends, lead times, best‑value opportunities, alternative products, evolving compliance).
• Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules.
• Travel to project sites, manufacturers, and vendors as needed.

• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Relevant purchasing experience sourcing and negotiating contracts with OEMs, construction or specialty trade subcontractors, and fabricators.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting principles.
