Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasis.
- PE registration in South Dakota or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
- Experience with HVAC load design software.
- Knowledge of building, energy, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and use time productively to maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
- Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and values.
- Ability to demand the highest standard of ethical conduct from self and others.
- Ability to travel as needed for projects.
- Lead mechanical design including HVAC and plumbing from schematic design through construction administration.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into the building design.
- Conduct load calculations and energy efficiency assessments to optimize system performance and to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Review and analyze project requirements, proposals, and technical reports.
- Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, technology, and regulations to ensure innovative and sustainable design solutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
