Job Description

Olsson offers its clients a full spectrum of water services, including a complete line of planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services. As a Senior Engineer on our Water Resources team, you will provide high-level technical support and lead QA/QC activities within the team. In this role, you will advise on complex projects and apply advanced experiences to independently make recommendations and decisions regarding project design work.

This role conceptualizes and creates unique solutions and ensures delivery of elevated project designs that provide purposeful, high-quality solutions to successfully solve engineering and design needs.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level project design and review of project documents and design quality for complex projects
  • Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced engineering concepts and developing approaches to solve complexities
  • Perform QA/QC and ensure delivery of completed designs meet quality standards and project objectives
  • Conduct research in areas of considerable scope and complexity
  • Guide and direct staff on design approaches to fulfill project requirements
  • Work collaboratively to promote efficiencies and produce high quality work
  • Contribute to the development of standards and/or guidelines for engineering activities within the team
  • Supervise and review technical assignments of less experienced staff

You bring to the team:
  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Professional engineering license (PEli>
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • 8 or more years of engineering experience
  • 4 years of experience leading or mentoring
  • Experience in stormwater and water resources
  • Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, master planning, stream restoration, dam/levee design, construction observation, or stormwater design is ali>
  • Ability to represent Olsson in a professional manner at all times
