HDR has an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced transportation industry professional to serve in a leadership position as our Nebraska/Iowa Transportation Business Group Professional Services Leader (PSL). Professional Services is an area of our organization responsible for developing technical resources and maintaining a culture of quality. These practices improve our competitiveness and drive our growth.
As PSL, you will report to the Nebraska/Iowa Transportation Business Group Manager (BGM) and work alongside the BGM to provide technical oversight and staffing resource assignments for projects across all six of the offices within Nebraska/Iowa (Omaha, Lincoln, Des Moines, Ames, Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities). You will potentially serve as supervisor for each of the Business Class Leads within the Nebraska/Iowa area who serve as the technical delivery supervisors for the following service areas: aviation, highways and local roads, bridge & structures, traffic engineering, traffic planning, railroads, federal transportation, geotechnical, and environmental.
As PSL, you will support the continued career development of supervisors within the Area. You will collaborate closely with HDR’s Transportation Professional Services Global Director to implement the Business Group’s technical and quality initiatives within the Nebraska/Iowa Area.
In addition to your primary responsibilities as summarized below, the PSL will be responsible for collaborating on technical delivery and business development for cross‑business group opportunities with HDR’s Water, Resources, Architecture, and Building Engineering Systems business groups. You will also support recruiting efforts to attract and retain eminent talent for our local program. More specifically, we’ll count on you to:
