A company is looking for a GIS System Drafter who maintains geospatial databases and supports engineers, planners, and analysts with cartographic and drafting expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Update maps and plans using GIS systems to meet project specifications and standards
- Convert field survey data and spatial datasets into clean, georeferenced GIS layers
- Maintain geospatial data integrity through topology checks and data cleaning
- Education:
Associate degree or certificate in GIS, Cartography, Geomatics, or related field; bachelor's preferred - Experience:
1-3 years of hands‑on GIS drafting experience or equivalent internship / project work - Technical skills:
Proficiency in ArcGIS or QGIS and AutoCAD (or Civil 3D) - Knowledge:
Understanding of coordinate systems, map projections, and cartographic principles
