- Produce design plans and specifications for urban and rural public/private roadways, which may include grading, erosion control, and stormwater management.
- Prepare civil engineering design calculations, high‑level technical designs, drainage reports, and cost estimates.
- Work with city, county, and state regulatory or reviewing authorities to identify appropriate design criteria and limitations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree from an EAC/ABET, CEAB‑accredited engineering program, or program that meets the NCEES Engineering Education Standard.
- Engineer in Training ("E.I.T." or "E.I.") designation.
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with roadway design, hydrologic and hydraulic computations, computer modeling, and presentation of results.
- Demonstrated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Six (6) years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
- Registered Professional Civil Engineer License in the State of Nebraska.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Public Improvement Plan layouts, design, and processes and procedures.
- Experience with the City of Omaha, Sarpy, and Douglas County, and/or other local agencies.
- Knowledge of the Omaha Regional Design Manual and PERMIX.
