Position: Slot Technician I - Grave Shift Omaha

Slot Technician I – Grave Shift – Omaha

The Slot Technician I is responsible for the installation, repair, relocation, and maintenance of all slot machines to ensure minimal downtime and enhance the guest experience. The pay rate is $21.00/hour. Full‑time. 11 PM–7:30 AM.

Responsibilities
  • Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision and Values of War Horse Gaming, Omaha.
  • Perform ongoing preventative maintenance to ensure the serviceability of all slot machines and keep repair records up to date.
  • Maintain equipment to approved standards and schedules, striving for 100% game uptime.
  • Assist guests with property and game information.
  • Perform urgent repairs and other maintenance activities in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and departmental procedures.
  • Inspect all new machines and conversion kits before installation onto the gaming floor.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient operations by continually liaising with the Slot Operations department and management.
  • Report all relevant information to management as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all electronic gaming equipment to the component level.
  • Communicate all operational and technical breakdowns and provide solutions to team members.
  • Investigate slot variances to identify and correct causes per company policies.
  • Assist all departments in providing outstanding guest service to all patrons.
  • Maintain meticulous security of keys, radios, handheld devices, and any other issued items and comply with company safety standards.
  • Attend all required training meetings.
  • Read and understand the Company Compulsive and Problem Gambling Plan and related regulations.
  • Be flexible in scheduling based on business needs.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Slot Technician experience, Electronics or PC technical degree/certification.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Slot Technician or related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Complete technical understanding of a broad range of slot machines and systems; ability to train others.
  • Ability to interact with mobile devices and touch‑screen technology.
  • Previous experience using smartphones and/or tablet applications strongly preferred.
