Pen Fed is hiring a Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst to work onsite at our Omaha, Nebraska service center. The primary purpose of the Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst is to identify and resolve anomalies in the reporting that do not meet the Metro II Standards as well as prepare and analyze monthly reports on Credit Bureau data.
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or business required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in FCRA, Metro II Standards and CRRG required.
- Proficient in SQL development required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful and with the flexibility to adapt quickly to change.
This position will not supervise staff.
Licenses and CertificationsCRRG certified preferred.
Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
TravelAbility to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.

- Reconcile the Metro II files furnished by Pen Fed to the CRAs monthly.
- Identify and investigate anomalies within the Metro II files and proposed resolution to them in a timely manner.
- Responsible for creating and testing Credit Bureau reporting logic updates to servicing systems to ensure the accuracy of the updates.
- Partner with operational business units to ensure that operational processes result in an accurate Credit Reporting.
- Partner directly with the CRAs (Experian, Equifax, Trans Union and Innovis) on reporting discrepancies resolution.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining Credit Bureau Reporting Policies and Procedures to ensure that we continue to be compliant with the FCRA and CDIA requirements.
- Prepare monthly Credit Dispute Reports and identify opportunities to improve our Credit Dispute processes and volumes.
- Maintain a deep understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including FCRA, BSA, and AML laws appropriate to the position.
- Build and maintain ad hoc reports for other servicing departments as needed.
- Works independently, utilize critical thinking and judgement to (1) mitigate discrepancies that arise from the above reports and (2) continue to challenge and enhance processes and procedure.
