Position: Regional Retail Sales Manager
Department: Retail Banking
Location: Omaha, NE (On‑Site)
Job Type: Full‑Time/Salary
Manage all aspects of the Retail Banking operation for all Equity Bank locations in the Nebraska Market. This includes meeting the Bank’s goals for deposit, DDA account, consumer loan, and non‑interest income growth.
Responsibilities and ExpectationsKey Responsibilities
- Grow Retail Banking Net Income
- Provide sales leadership and direct the financial results of your market.
- Cultivate, lead and maintain a disciplined sales culture using the St. Meyers Hubbard sales training to increase sales of all retail products to deepen existing relationships and develop new retail banking relationships.
- Achieve budgeted retail banking targets for growth of deposits accounts, consumer loans and generation of non‑interest income with an emphasis on growing the bank’s number of DDA accounts.
- Demonstrate operational soundness to minimize risk exposure and to maintain quality production.
- Proactively support referrals to bank partners that result in additional revenue to the bank.
- Stay abreast of industry trends.
- Develop and present new revenue or cost savings initiatives to executive team for consideration.
- Manage Retail Banking Employee Team
- Provide leadership and motivation to retail team.
- Direct the work of retail bank managers.
- Make recommendations and decisions regarding employee hiring, compensation, work schedule, promotion, and discipline.
- Ensure training and development of bank team members for their current and future roles.
- Provide periodic bank performance objectives and goals, as well as individual coaching, feedback, and evaluation of bank managers.
- Develop and implement retail banking incentive plans and periodic sales initiatives.
- Provide sales tracking to retail banking team.
- Ensure Consistent Delivery of Superior Client Experience
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and ensure same by retail bank teams.
- Create a welcoming, engaging, professional environment for clients and your team to experience.
- Proactively resolve client issues or disputes and ensure follow‑through by retail banking team.
- Ensure retail team proactively matches bank products and services to client needs.
- Demonstrate Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations
- Understand and follow applicable laws and regulations for your job responsibilities, including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethics and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti‑Money Laundering, Information Security, Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Follow deposit account opening procedures and internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as appropriate for this position.
- Actively work with clients to understand each client’s normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.
- Complete periodic compliance training.
- Ensure adherence to aforementioned points by bank team.
- Supervise Retail Operations Functions with Assistance and Cooperation from Regional Retail Support Managers
- Participate in development of operations policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance to internal control standards.
- Monitor security procedures.
- Stay abreast of fraud issues and initiate appropriate training to safeguard client and organizational assets.
- Regular and Reliable Attendance
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency in Windows‑based systems.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Capable of working with a team to determine solutions.
- 1‑2 years supervisory experience.
- Previous Banking Experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3‑5 years supervisory experience.
