Schwab’s Investment Platforms, Solutions, and Strategy (SIPSS) organization brings together leaders across existing and emerging investment product areas, including digital assets, private markets, third-party products and platforms, separately managed accounts, digital advice, and product strategy. This team is focused on building a premier investment product suite that meets the evolving needs of Schwab clients while supporting long-term business growth.

Within SIPSS, The Director, Alternative Investments (Alts) and Structured Products Offer Management, will be a part of the Investment & Offer Solutions (IOS) group. IOS is a team of curious and optimistic employees responsible for managing our proprietary Separately Managed Account products and third-party product marketplaces (Alternative Investments, Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, ETFs, Structured Products, Fixed Income, Annuities & Insurance, and 529).

Our mission is to provide a positive experience for Schwab clients that invest in these products, while growing a key revenue stream.

The Director, Alts and Structured Products Offer Management will be responsible for leading high-impact efforts to expand the products and capabilities we provide our third-party RIA custody and end clients via our Advisor Services Business. In addition to supporting our existing product platforms and third-party relationships, this individual will be tasked with defining and delivering the strategic roadmap to improve our alts and structured products capabilities for our advisors and their clients.

Given the rapid growth in client and advisor demand for this asset class, this is a high-impact role that requires the ability to effectively and efficiently solve complex problems and maintain close partnership with the Investor Services business.

The Director will work closely with internal partners (e.g., product leaders, research partners, and leaders across Investor Services, Operations, Technology, Legal and Compliance) and external partners (e.g., asset managers, fintechs, etc.) to ensure strategic alignment and progress on priorities to support our RIA clients. The Director will be energetic and enthusiastic about serving clients and our business partners, activating strategies, completing initiatives, and financial services broadly - with a particular focus on Alternative Investments.

• Experience leading and completing major initiatives in financial services - consulting, product management and/or internal strategy functions
• Led or managed highly performing, multi-discipline teams to meet changing business challenges, all while developing a deep talent bench
• Strong leadership, influencing and motivating skills; proven success in building credibility and strong relationships with peers and stakeholders (both at the Senior and Working Team level)
• 10+ years investment product or project management experience, supporting Alternative Investments
• 3+ years in strategy consulting or product/offer management
• Bachelor’s degree required
