Deaf/Hoh Services Associate – Nebraska Medicine

Our organization is committed to providing exceptional patient care. As a Deaf/Hoh Services Associate, you will provide sign language interpretation for patients, families, and staff to support the patient care needs of the deaf and hard of hearing community.

Shift: First Shift (United States of America). 20 hours per week, mainly Thursdays and Fridays, with flexible scheduling options.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year medical interpretation experience for sign language in a healthcare setting.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Licensed Interpreter through the Nebraska Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • National certification through the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) and/or the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (RID).
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and working within a database.
  • Experience providing remote and in‑person ASL interpretation.
  • Experience in appointment and interpreter coordination.
