OB Technician

Job Summary

OB Technician role at CHI Health Lakeside in West Omaha.

• Assist the admission, discharge, and transfer process of patients.
• Set up tables, instruments, and supplies required for cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and circumcisions, maintaining sterile technique.
• Respond to patient calls, anticipate needs, and ensure safety and comfort through regular rounds and environmental maintenance.
• Maintain appropriate stock and equipment inventories in the department and patient rooms.
• Assist in the preparation and draping of the patient and operative area.
• Prepare, pass, and maintain a correct count of instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies utilized during the operative procedure.
• Maintain surgical instruments by ensuring proper washing, packaging, sterilization, and storage.

• BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• CNA Certification or Surgical Technologist course completion required.
• Experience in a surgical or acute care setting preferred.
