Job Overview

Perform multi-modality neurodiagnostic testing on pediatric and adult populations, ensuring high-quality results and patient care.

Essential Functions
  • Perform neurodiagnostic tests according to department policies and standards.
  • Gather medical history to assist neurologists in data interpretation.
  • Prepare patients and caregivers, providing education and instructions.
  • Use distraction techniques to facilitate successful tests.
  • Perform and record EEG and LTVEEG.
  • Assist neurologists with EMG procedures.
  • Minimize data collection issues through assessment and troubleshooting.
  • Manage scheduling and prioritize patient tests.
  • Communicate delays and coordinate testing schedules.
  • Assist in reporting results, proofreading and correcting errors.
  • Support timely communication with physicians.
  • Ensure accurate charge capture and data recording.
  • Train and supervise new staff and students, including contracted neurodiagnostic students.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain regular attendance and physical requirements as needed.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited or ABRET-recognized neurodiagnostic training program.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Registered EEGT certification; must be board-eligible and pass exam within 2 years if currently employed at Children’s Nebraska, or upon hire.
  • Health Services BLS certification through AHA within 30 days of hire.
Additional Information

Schedule:

Full-time, 4-10 hour days, , every 4th weekend, minimal on-call. Bonus: $5000.
