Interventional Technologist I - CHI
Join the team as an Interventional Technologist I at CHI to support interventional and diagnostic imaging procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessment and provide clear procedure explanations, including duration and expectations.
- Assist physicians with interventional procedures such as needle localization, aspiration, biopsies, and other invasive procedures.
- Maintain aseptic and sterile techniques and observe universal precautions.
- Select and set proper equipment, technical factors, and protocol, and gather supplies before procedures.
- Apply radiation safety standards, including Image Gently, Image Wisely, and MR safety, and use lead protection when required.
- Obtain complete patient history and record data in the patient record to aid image interpretation.
- Perform quality assessment of images and evaluate equipment issues, reporting findings to supervisors or directors.
- Ensure all equipment is working at the start of the day and perform required quality tests, including ACR quality requirements.
- Report shortages, variations, or failures of equipment using the CHI incident reporting system.
- Participate in department, campus, and system quality improvement projects, accreditation processes, and radiation safety initiatives.
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- ARRT Board Certified in Radiology
- Valid Medical Radiography or General Radiology Technologist Permit to Practice license in Nebraska or Iowa, depending on work state
- Proficient venipuncture skills required for the position.
- Ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in a shifting environment.
- Self‑motivated with ownership of projects and assignments.
- Team player with excellent follow‑up and customer service skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and team members.
- Six to nine months experience in radiology preferred.
- If Cardiac Catheter lab included in duties, ACLS required.
- Certification in IR or RCIS preferred.
- ARRT Board Certified in CT within one year of hire, if appropriate.
- ARRT Board Certified in Mammography within one year of hire, if appropriate.

Pay Range$30.76 - $45.76 /hour
