Patient Care Coordinator – Physical Therapy Clinic (Hybrid)

Description

At Doctors of Physical Therapy, our support team is the glue of our clinics. We are looking for a full‑time Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) and Patient Care Technician (PCT) to uphold excellent customer service and contribute to the patient experience in our Millard, NE clinic. This role combines front‑desk skills with patient care and support in the clinic.

PCC responsibilities: answering phones, scanning, faxing, scheduling, new patient registration, co‑pay collection and over‑the‑counter collections, reporting, and remote FDC duties as assigned by the front‑desk supervisor.

PCT responsibilities: logistics involved with assisting patient care as directed by the Physical Therapist, as well as housekeeping duties.

Ideal candidate will be seeking longevity with a growing company, be a self‑starter, possess excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills, and build relationships with patients and the community to provide a welcoming and efficient environment.

Prior medical experience is a plus.

Must be available to work Monday through Friday, day shift, no weekends.

Responsibilities include:
  • Greet patients
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, team members, clinicians, and all departments
  • Provide detailed instructions to patients for their visits
  • Review and evaluate patient charts for data entry accuracy
  • Work as a team to ensure an efficient working environment and that calls are made timely to patients and referral sources
  • Familiarity with outpatient rehabilitation/medical services and medical terminology
  • Answer phones
  • Patient registration and data entry
  • Scanning, faxing, and other clerical duties
  • Collecting copayments and patient balances
  • Patient scheduling and schedule management
  • Patient care assistance as needed
  • Strong organizational skills
