Shift
  • Full time, 40 hours / Benefits eligible
  • Mon-Fri, 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with a rotating day off.
  • Every 3rd weekend, 10:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. with two weekday shifts, 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Ultrasound Technologist Description

Perform quality diagnostic medical sonograms under supervision to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging information for use in diagnosis and treatment. Effectively work to coordinate the required resources for diagnostic ultrasound service delivery, problem solve and expedite communication with other health care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes, and demonstrate active involvement in department operations and decision making by modeling effective work group processes and fiscal responsibility.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to competently manage patient/family of all age groups.
  • Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of ultrasonography, or comparable work experience in the practice specialty of abdomen and OB/Gyn.
  • Proficient with computers/computer systems to include basic navigation and use of email applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to multi‑task.
  • Ability to deal with difficult or challenging customer interactions and to elevate to management as appropriate.
  • Ability to obtain American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification within one year of hire or transfer date.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in neurosonology and vascular ultrasound.
  • Bachelor's of science degree.
  • Formal education in neurosonology and vascular ultrasound.
  • Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) certification.
