About the RoleThe Cloud Engineer works under the supervision of the Manager – Cloud Engineering and provides services through the design, documentation, implementation, and administration of the firm’s evolving enterprise network and systems. The position may be filled remotely or in any firm location.
Key Responsibilities- Configure and maintain Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016 and newer) for the firm’s enterprise environment including routers, switches and Wi‑Fi APs.
- Support desktop and server application distribution and updates via Microsoft Update Management Center, Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Manager, AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop), scripting, and Group Policy.
- Deploy, manage and maintain information technology solutions, including Windows servers and cloud systems.
- Design, support, and implement Microsoft AD (Active Directory Services) and Azure Active Directory.
- Define, implement and enforce security frameworks for existing and new systems.
- Ensure successful implementation and maintenance of defined standards.
- Implement and maintain anti‑virus and anti‑malware solutions.
- Use ITIL best practice to plan, document, and transition services into production; continue to review and improve.
- Support infrastructure solutions such as SQL Server, Intune, Azure, AWS, Office 365, App Sense, Azure Files, Illumio, Sentinel One, Check Points, Palo Alto.
- Assist in inventory control and asset management.
- Planned disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
- Respond, based on priority, to end‑user issues routed by the IT Help Desk analysts.
- Recommend patches, reconfigurations, or new products to leadership that enhance the firm’s technical systems.
- Provide technical assistance to others within the IT department and to firm users, including periodic on‑call duty and work outside normal business hours; handle special project duties as assigned by the Director – IT Operations or other department management personnel.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement technology solutions to business problems.
- Engage in ongoing self‑education.
- Document processes for use by the Engineering and Administration team.
- Partner with the Security team to manage security‑related applications.
The employee may be required to be stationary for prolonged periods, open filing cabinets, bend or stand as necessary, inspect and observe information on a computer screen at least 80 % of the time, and, on occasion, lift and carry 25‑35 pounds.
Position Requirements- 4‑year degree with major coursework in Information Technology or a related field; or a combination of education and commensurate work experience.
- 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Experience managing technology and infrastructure projects.
- Keyboarding skills and familiarity with computer software and network systems.
Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.

- State of California: $82,000 - $156,000
- State of Colorado: $75,000 - $134,000
- State of Illinois: $74,000 - $143,000
- State of Maryland: $79,000 - $120,000
- State of Massachusetts: $82,000 - $156,000
- State of Minnesota: $82,000 - $135,000
- Jersey City, NJ: $89,000 - 161,00
- State of New York: $76,000 - $164,000
- State of Vermont: $81,000 - $155,000
- State of Washington: $79,000 - $150,000
- Washington, D.C.: $106,000 - $155,000
The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus; however, bonus opportunities are non‑guaranteed and are dependent on individual and firm performance.
