The IT Platform/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the day‑to‑day maintenance of National Indemnity Company’s Windows‑based Server and Middleware application environment. Initiate projects and prepare project plans.
This position will be with National Indemnity Company located in Omaha, NE with a hybrid work environment requiring 50% in‑office. #LI-KC1 / #LI-Hybrid
What will you do?- Act as systems engineer for Windows‑based servers and Middleware applications.
- Install, and administer operating systems and Middleware software to provide needed capabilities for the user environment.
- Analyze and identify inefficiencies or problems within Middleware systems, determine the need, and work to resolve the issue.
- Provide technical instructions and training to other support staff and provide leadership and mentoring when necessary.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems during working hours and after hours as required by urgency or nature of situation.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years related work experience
- Experience with Windows Server OS Administration
- Experience with enterprise software installation and administration
- Basic operation of Microsoft Office and other productivity software
- Microsoft Azure experience
- M365
- ITIL or similar methodologies
- Microsoft certification
- Scripting Technologies
- Citrix, VMWare, MS Exchange, SQL Server Administration
