The IT Platform/Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of National Indemnity Company’s Windows-based Server and Middleware application environment. Initiate projects and prepare project plans.
** This position will be with National Indemnity Company located in Omaha, NE with a hybrid work environment requiring 50% in-office. #LI-KC1 / #LI-Hybrid
*** Act as systems engineer for Windows-based servers and Middleware applications.
* Install, and administer operating systems and Middleware software to provide needed capabilities for the user environment.
* Analyze and identify inefficiencies or problems within Middleware systems, determine the need, and work to resolve the issue.
* Provide technical instructions and training to other support staff and provide leadership and mentoring when necessary.
* Troubleshoot hardware and software problems during working hours and after hours as required by urgency or nature of situation.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
* Minimum 3-5 years related work experience
* Experience with Windows Server OS Administration
* Experience with enterprise software installation and administration
* Basic operation of Microsoft Office and other productivity software
* Microsoft Azure experience
* M365* ITIL or similar methodologies
* Microsoft certification
* Scripting Technologies
* Citrix, VMWare, MS Exchange, SQL Server Administration
