Systems Engineer, Cloud Computing
Description
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, planning, and support for the Company’s on‑prem and cloud server and middleware environments. Partners with business, IT Security, Software Development, and other IT Infrastructure teams on projects to ensure secure delivery and upkeep of business initiatives. Participates in research and development of technical architecture, tools, products, and processes. Provides technical leadership and guidance to project team members and technical staff.
Continually develops skills in technologies applicable to our on‑prem and cloud environments.
Job Requirements

- Possesses comprehensive general knowledge of subject matter to make decisions on various cases working independently.

- Routine communication requires tact with both inside and outside contacts to obtain information, cooperation, and resolve basic issues.
- Regularly works with confidential data.
- Three or more years related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Computer Science, MIS or related field (or equivalent) with 3+ years of IT systems engineering and/or cloud experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft M365 cloud technologies.
- Experience on server and cloud virtualization technologies.
- Experience in public, private, and hybrid cloud computing environments.
- Recent and current Windows Server and workstation operating systems.
- Project management/leadership skills.
- ITIL or similar methodologies.
- Agile environment experience.
- Knowledge of enterprise‑level system and hardware design.
- Experience with Company’s server, network and cloud environments.
- Containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Analyze company business information needs and procedures.
- Self‑motivated and works independently and as part of a team.
- Continuous learner with a passion for creative problem solving.
- Highly collaborative and supportive of business objectives.
- Highly innovative with aptitude for foresight, systems thinking, and design thinking.

The client is in the midst of a Cloud Transformation. While they stand that up, they need to ensure the current environment is well maintained. The team of four individuals managing the existing environment requires careful upkeep. Most critical applications still live in this environment.
Position Duration: 6‑12 month Contract to Hire.
Experience Level: Intermediate.
Location:
Omaha, NE (hybrid.
Pay range: $60.00 – $75.00/hr.
