OverviewThe Azure Cloud Engineer role focuses on day-to-day maintenance, planning, and support for on-prem and cloud server environments, ensuring secure delivery of business initiatives.
The position will be based in Omaha, NE, on a contract basis. It is NOT fully remote and requires relocation to Omaha at the end of the contract period; relocation expenses may be covered, though not guaranteed.
Responsibilities- Maintain, plan, and support the Company’s on-prem and cloud server and middleware environments.
- Partner with business, IT Security, Software Development, and other IT infrastructure teams to secure delivery of business initiatives.
- Participate in research and development of technical architecture, tools, products, and processes.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project team members and technical staff.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft M365 cloud technologies, server and cloud virtualization.
- Experience in public, private, and hybrid cloud computing environments.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of enterprise-level system and hardware design.
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Continuous learner with a passion for creative problem solving.
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
Contract position (6‑12 month CTH) with hourly pay ranging from $60.00 to $75.00.
