Job Summary
Territory Technical Representative – Southern Minnesota (Field Employees).

Location:
Within 1 hour of Albert Lee, MN. The role focuses on providing in‑field technical support to dealer service personnel and enhancing dealer capability to service CLAAS products.
- Provide technical and service support for CLAAS products at dealer locations or customer sites within the assigned territory.
- Prepare and present detailed technical reports of product performance and reliability issues to the Regional Technical Manager (RTM) and Technical Support Center (TSC).
- Investigate dealer service concerns and identify resolutions within the assigned territory.
- Train and support dealer personnel on E‑Service functions and software tools (, WEBTIC, WEBSI, etc.).
- Review, process, and audit warranty claims for dealers, conduct visual inspections of returned parts, and determine CLAAS disposition on warranty returns; resolve “out of warranty” issues with goodwill authorizations per RTM direction. Process claims up to the maximum cost amount set by the Director – Service.
- Assist with completion of Product Improvement Programs and Campaigns as requested within the assigned territory.
- Assist in training dealer service technicians at dealer locations and company training sites.
- Schedule dealer and customer visits as needed and directed by the Regional Technical Manager.
- Report customer and dealer visits and territory activity on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Promote and cultivate the service and business across all channels.
- Travel – extensive domestic and occasional international travel by auto and air: expect 80‑100% during harvest season.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history and passport required.
- Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in a technical and/or business field or equivalent experience (agricultural‑based study is a plus).
- 2‑4 years of related work experience (preferred).
- Background in agricultural equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to analyze equipment performance issues and quickly identify resolutions.
- Excellent technical communication skills (written & oral) coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools (electrical & hydraulic) and computer‑based tools.
- Computer proficiency with MS Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn additional programs.
