Are you passionate about protecting people and facilities through new technology? Amazon Worldwide Physical Security is seeking a Support Engineer to join the Physical Security Innovation Solutions team and help secure Amazon's global network. You will test, qualify, and integrate physical security hardware and software across Video Management Systems and Access Control platforms, ensuring compatibility and functionality  this hands-on role, you will work at the intersection of hardware engineering and cloud technology, testing security devices against enterprise systems, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and documenting your findings.

• Test and qualify new and existing security devices against a variety of Video Management Systems (VMS), Access Control systems, and other third-party solutions, ensuring compatibility, integration, functionality, and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to obtain the necessary equipment, software, and licensing needed for testing.
• Build and test AI/ML-driven analytics and automation that extend the capabilities of physical security systems, validating accuracy before field deployment.
• Provide technical guidance to internal teams and stakeholders as needed.
• Help implement and integrate solutions with existing physical security systems and platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Physical Security, OTI, Loss Prevention) to support organizational priorities.
• Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of issues to the appropriate teams.
• Create and maintain documentation (e.g., user guides, knowledge base articles) for hardware processes, procedures, and solutions.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and security regulations in the physical security domain.

• 3+ years of technical support, or 3+ years of software development experience
• Experience scripting in modern program languages
• Experience with AI/ML technologies
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems, or experience troubleshooting and documenting findings
• Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication
• Experience working on and delivering end to end projects independently

• Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications
• Experience with AWS products and services
• Certifications in one or more Video Management Systems (VMS) or Access Control systems
