REQ-The Archive Digitization Technician is responsible for converting physical archival materials into high-quality digital formats to ensure long-term preservation and accessibility. This role involves operating specialized digitization equipment, adhering to archival standards, and managing metadata for digital assets.
Contract Position/On Site/Hall of History##
** MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:*** ## Performs daily operations of digitization workflows, including digitization, color management, and quality control.* ## Tracks digitization progress and compiles relevant statistics.* ## Coordinates digital collections workflow, including collaboration with metadata specialists and preparation for ingestion into digital repositories.* ## Maintains digitization priority lists in collaboration with team members.* ## Executes efficient digital production workflows aligned with digital library standards.
* ## Contributes to the development of policies, guidelines, and best practices for digitization.* ## Monitors and maintains specialized hardware and software used for image capture and processing.## ##
