Overview

Full‑time. We are seeking a service‑driven professional who is excited to grow into surety bonds and client management. This position is open to a wide range of experience levels.

Responsibilities
  • Manage customer service for a surety bond book of business ($250,000 in commission income) meeting department service standards.
  • Prepare, execute, and invoice bonds including performance bonds, bid bonds, surety bonds, and related riders / change orders.
  • Coordinate bond approvals by communicating with surety companies and clients and maintaining complete underwriting files.
  • Process bond requests and provide required file information and copies to surety partners.
  • Assist clients with billing and renewal questions and help resolve related issues.
  • Maintain bond forms and surety documents to ensure smooth issuance workflows.
  • Request interim and annual financial statements and work‑on‑hand schedules in partnership with the producer as required by sureties.
  • Promptly respond to customer questions and requests for assistance.
  • Communicate with the Bond Manager or producer regarding significant requests, problems or missing information.
  • Maintain accurate electronic account files and fully use the agency management system in daily work.
  • Prioritize workload to meet objectives and timelines and ask for support when needed.
  • Participate in quality reviews and comply with quality program requirements.
  • Follow agency and department procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and surety representatives to support retention.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information.
  • Continue learning through newsletters, bulletins, seminars and other development opportunities.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Customer service, administrative or client‑support experience (any industry).
  • Interest in learning surety bonds (training provided).
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn agency management systems (Applied Epic).
  • Strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate when support is needed.
  • Active Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain a resident Property & Casualty agents license within 60 days after hire.
  • Experience issuing performance, bid or contract bonds (preferred).
  • Prior experience managing a surety or commercial book of business (preferred).
