Overview
Full‑time. We are seeking a service‑driven professional who is excited to grow into surety bonds and client management. This position is open to a wide range of experience levels.
Responsibilities- Manage customer service for a surety bond book of business ($250,000 in commission income) meeting department service standards.
- Prepare, execute, and invoice bonds including performance bonds, bid bonds, surety bonds, and related riders / change orders.
- Coordinate bond approvals by communicating with surety companies and clients and maintaining complete underwriting files.
- Process bond requests and provide required file information and copies to surety partners.
- Assist clients with billing and renewal questions and help resolve related issues.
- Maintain bond forms and surety documents to ensure smooth issuance workflows.
- Request interim and annual financial statements and work‑on‑hand schedules in partnership with the producer as required by sureties.
- Promptly respond to customer questions and requests for assistance.
- Communicate with the Bond Manager or producer regarding significant requests, problems or missing information.
- Maintain accurate electronic account files and fully use the agency management system in daily work.
- Prioritize workload to meet objectives and timelines and ask for support when needed.
- Participate in quality reviews and comply with quality program requirements.
- Follow agency and department procedures.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and surety representatives to support retention.
- Protect confidential and sensitive information.
- Continue learning through newsletters, bulletins, seminars and other development opportunities.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Customer service, administrative or client‑support experience (any industry).
- Interest in learning surety bonds (training provided).
- Strong written & verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn agency management systems (Applied Epic).
- Strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate when support is needed.
- Active Property & Casualty license or the ability to obtain a resident Property & Casualty agents license within 60 days after hire.
- Experience issuing performance, bid or contract bonds (preferred).
- Prior experience managing a surety or commercial book of business (preferred).
