Job Summary

Location: Methodist Corporate Office, 825 S 169th St., Omaha, NE

Work Schedule: Thursday - Sunday; 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM

With training and supervision, the Operations Analyst I will be responsible for providing Tier 1 telephone support for systems, applications, server, telecom and network issues by troubleshooting and resolving problems for multi‑site healthcare environments. Respond to issues and alarm conditions in a timely manner, troubleshoot and resolve issues with internal teams, and ensure platform or system is operating correctly at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Provide consolidated Tier 1 support (network, telecom, server, application, computer problems, etc.) and ensure adherence to departmental procedures and corporate policies with supervision.
  • Understand the clinical, technical and business needs of the multi‑site healthcare systems and how the requirements can be accomplished in Cerner or other systems.
  • Use network tools and server tools to monitor and resolve network functions continuously.
  • Set up conference bridges for customers, both scheduled and emergency, and distribute necessary information in a timely manner.
  • Assist in formulating and defining requirements, testing, implementation, and support through research and fact‑finding.
  • Resolve Tier I trouble tickets with supervision and assistance.
  • Adapt to and support changing policies and procedures at the department, division and organizational levels.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of systems in the company’s technology portfolio.
  • Participate in change and release management, creating documentation and following division practices.
  • Help maintain IT Operations Center business continuity and disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Triage and prioritize incidents so the most critical items are addressed promptly.
  • Escalate to supervisor any situation outside the employee’s control that could impact services.
  • Ensure quality end‑user service and accurate documentation of issues.
Project Coordination
  • Update project plans as necessary.
  • Fulfil assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Provide management with status updates on assigned tasks.
Vendor and Customer Relations
  • Interact with customers and vendors professionally and courteously.
  • Provide exemplary customer service in difficult situations.
  • Keep tickets updated with current status regularly.
  • Act as liaison between vendors, customers, and IT staff.
Teamwork and Documentation
  • Cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks.
  • Escalate workflow and IT Operations Center issues to supervisor.
  • Treat all internal and external customers and team members with dignity and respect.
  • Participate in collaboration and continuously update procedures with other IT departments.
  • Share responsibilities and knowledge with team members and build trust.
  • Provide adequate notification to manager and peers for out‑of‑office coverage.
