Family Services Pashto Interpreter reports to the Home ownership Success Manager. This position is responsible for interpreting for the home ownership program, home repair program, outreach, home ownership success, and any other programs within Habitat for Humanity Omaha. The hours of this position are as needed depending on shifting client needs.

Hours: Hours vary based on need

Location: On-site position in Omaha, NE

Requirements

• Provide professional and accurate interpretation.
• Promptness to ensure clients will be able to communicate with staff upon arrival.
• Ability to act as a liaison between clients and Habitat staff to remove cultural or linguistic barriers.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Pashto as well as English.
• Access to transportation to attend meetings at various locations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Outstanding customer service skills with diverse, multilingual populations and organizational partners.
• Self-motivated and organized towards team success, organizational goals, and individual professional development.
