Our Paralegals assist our attorneys with managing billable work, scheduling, file coordination, opening and/or closing files, summarizing documents for review and daily organizational needs relative to our cases in order to allow our attorneys to use their billable time effectively. Our Paralegals operate at a high degree of technical proficiency, have a passion for organization and efficiency and are solution-oriented. Candidates should work well both independently and within a team to assist our attorneys in managing the billable work of the firm.

• Draft various legal documents for attorney review
• Request, follow‑up on, and organize medical record files
• E‑File documents within appropriate court filing systems (Kansas City)
• Manage and organize case files
• Research and analyze case data
• Draft discovery
• Communicate with outside counsel, physicians, court personnel, and other experts
• Bills time contemporaneously
• Assist attorneys with case‑related requests
• Respond to record and legal documentation requests
• Answer phone calls, take messages or transfer calls to appropriate parties
• Work with highly confidential information and always maintain utmost confidentiality
• Act in a stewardship capacity for MVP, work as a genuine, confident, functional member of the team, be hardworking with the ability to be innovative and firm‑focused in alignment with our core values
