Asset Planner - Intermodal

The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed position.

• Administer the assignment of rail container plans to 3rd party and Werner asset carriers.
• This includes the prioritization of equipment plans based on equipment utilization, dwell time, cost, and capacity.
• Work with carriers to ensure equipment plans are being executed as planned and communicating impacts of failed performance.
• Advise Operations Supervisor of issues or needs as necessary and perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
• Work with railroad contacts on equipment related issues and opening cases or escalating EQ issues to ensure customer expectations are being met.
• Achieve performance goals pertaining to street turn utilization and overall dwell time and cost.
