About the Role
The General Superintendent will develop and execute project plans, oversee all aspects of complex projects, manage teams, plan construction sequencing, and ensure project goals are met, supporting JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead safety initiatives, promote an injury-free environment, investigate incidents, and retrain staff as needed.
- Manage subcontractors, staff, suppliers, and programs like Safety, Quality, and EEO.
- Develop work plans, coordinate site activities, lead meetings, and manage project schedules and budgets.
- Ensure quality compliance, support project closeouts, and participate in project pursuit and negotiation processes.
- Recruit and develop top talent, promote diversity and inclusion, and manage large, complex projects from start to finish.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s in construction management, engineering, or related; relevant experience considered.
- 12+ years construction experience, with 10+ years in field supervision.
- Experience with Lean principles preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
