IT Project Manager
Senior Project Leader
Lead and oversee the delivery of highly complex projects, ensuring objectives are clearly defined and achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality constraints. As a senior project leader, you will drive cross‑functional teams to deliver digital and business outcomes, across stakeholders and teams. Projects managed in this role typically range from $1 million to $10 million in revenue, requiring advanced strategic thinking and organizational influence.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership:
Create and lead high functioning project teams to deliver agreed outputs / outcomes within scope, time, cost, and quality constraints. Empower and inspire others to deliver successful projects, providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members. - Project Team Management:
Manage project teams day‑to‑day, define and delegate roles and responsibilities, develop capability, foster innovation, and ensure successful delivery. Experience managing people directly is highly valued. - Project Planning & Delivery:
Develop project plans, schedules, and controls, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and scope. Consolidate and document project components (scope, schedule, approach, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities, issues, and quality requirements). - Business Case & Benefits Management:
Support sponsors in preparing, refining, and updating business cases; track and report forecast and actuals; ensure realization of business benefits. - Budget & Cost Management:
Manage project budgets, control and report on forecasts, changes, and actual costs for projects with significant financial impact. - Governance:
Establish and maintain effective governance and decision‑making for project delivery, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities. - Scheduling & Dependency Management:
Develop and maintain schedules, map dependencies, and actively manage interdependencies with other projects and business leads. - Resource Management:
Develop, implement, and update resource allocation plans considering availability and scheduling variances. - Stakeholder & Communications Management:
Identify and manage stakeholder relationships, communications, and senior‑level support. Ensure alignment with wider portfolio and organizational communications. - Risk & Issue Management:
Identify and monitor project risks and issues, develop mitigating actions, and escalade as appropriate. - Client & Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Collaborate with stakeholders, manage client relationships, and lead cross‑functional teams (designers, developers, marketers). - Process Improvement:
Identify process improvements and implement best practices. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status updates. - Client Roadmap Support:
Support the creation and ongoing maintenance of the client roadmap, ensuring alignment between project deliverables and long‑term client objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on service design and customer experience, digital experience technology, web / mobile development, or related areas.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing complex, high‑value projects ($1M $10M).
- Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with UX design, CMS, digital marketing, and Agile frameworks (Scrum / Kanban).
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Direct people management experience is a plus.
The annual salary range for this position is $94,000 - $152,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
