In this position, you’ll be an important part of the manufacturing team.

Duties include:

• Packaging and shipping product to customer specifications
• Determining product container requirements to ensure safe delivery to customer
• Processing pack slips, bill of lading, export paperwork and expedite orders
• Conferring with sales, manufacturing and quality on product and customer complaint issues
• Receiving incoming materials, PO’s, and raw materials per company quality requirements
• Conduct daily operations in a safe and team oriented atmosphere

This is a multi‑faceted position in a medium‑size organization. You must be able to interact comfortably with other departments on a regular basis. Must like a fast‑paced environment. This position requires a high level of detail.

Qualified candidates will possess a minimum:

• 1–2 years of hands on shipping and receiving experience
• Forklift experience a plus, will train
• Overhead crane experience a plus, will train
• Experience with measurement devices a must
• Crating or carpentry experience a plus, will train
• Export paperwork experience at plus
• Understanding SDS/Hazcom shipping regulations

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

Include the following.

• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Assembles containers or selects preassembled containers.
• Insert items into containers.
• Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
• Posts weights.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains the inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules.
• Inspect shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
• Counts, weighs, measures, or examines packaging and contents for conformance to company specifications.
• Uses reports in SAP to monitor shipping workload and to prioritize upcoming shipment requirements.
• Performs transactions in SAP to remove finished goods from inventory and document shipment of items so accounting can bill for shipped goods.
• Perform transactions in SAP with high degree of accuracy to support purchasing, production, accounting, and shipping processes that are critical to the business system.
• Create documents out of SAP that are critical to shipping activities (ex. Bills of Lading, picking tickets, etc.) with high degree of accuracy.
• Compares items packed with customer's order and other identifying data.
• Performs clerical tasks such as computer data entry, typing correspondence, and keeping files.
• Assume Shipping Lead duties in the event the Shipping Lead is absent.
• Responsible for checking the accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing offices' input to ensure customer final product is correct and within quality acceptance guidelines.
• Any changes or corrections must be communicated to appropriate departments so future product output is consistent with customer expectations.
