Monday - Thursday 2:30 pm to 12:30 am - 3 Day Weekends (off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
The Welding position is responsible for manufacturing parts and components in accordance with customer drawings and specifications. The role involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of welding equipment including welding machines, spot welders, and robot welders.
Essential Functions- Knowledge and hands‑on operation of welding equipment and methodology.
- Knowledge and hands‑on operation of metal fabrication machinery, especially welding equipment.
- Setup fixturing and work areas to produce "0 defect" parts.
- Operate manual and power tools to grind parts according to specification.
- Provide regular maintenance on welding equipment to ensure proper operation and longevity.
- Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
- High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited welding program preferred.
- A minimum of 1‑year experience in a welding position preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
- AWS certification or ability to obtain AWS certification preferred.
- GMWA welding skills including the setup of weld stations.
- Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.
- Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
- Familiarity with WPS weld procedure specifications.
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
- Lift/Carry:
Stand frequently 10 lbs or less, Constantly 10 lbs or less. - Walk frequently 11‑20 lbs, Constantly 11‑20 lbs.
- Sit occasionally 21‑50 lbs, Frequently 21‑50 lbs.
- Handling/Fingering constantly 51‑100 lbs, Occasionally 51‑100 lbs.
- Reach Outward frequently over 100 lbs, Occasionally over 100 lbs.
- Reach Above Shoulder frequently, Constantly possible.
- Push/Pull:
Climb occasionally 12 lbs or less, Constantly 12 lbs or less. - Crawl occasionally 13‑25 lbs, Constantly 13‑25 lbs.
- Squat or Kneel frequently 26‑40 lbs, Frequently 26‑40 lbs.
- Bend frequently 41‑100 lbs, Constantly 41‑100 lbs.
- Other activity not applicable, occasionally up to 33% of time, frequently 33‑66% of time, constantly more than 66% of time.
Physical Requirements
- Vision:
Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception. - Sense of Sound:
Ability to communicate with personnel and listen to machinery to make adjustments. - Sense of Touch:
Use of hands to carry and move material. - Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as welding shield, ear protection, steel‑toed boots, etc.
