- Responsible for completing preventive maintenance for assigned areas and occasionally others.
- Responsible for setting up the floor in preparation for production in respective areas or elsewhere as required.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative while on the job.
- Capable of following orders under high‑stress situations such as maydies to prevent downtime.
- Some experience with computers is optimal for completing PMs, work orders, vector training, etc.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
The environment can fluctuate: employees will stand for 4–6 hours, sometimes on a platform, and frequently must push, pull, or lift 30–50 pounds. Sharp objects such as knives, hooks, steel, and saws are used. Noise levels are often loud; hearing protection is required at all times. Additional PPE may include safety glasses, mesh gloves/aprons, frocks, steel‑toed boots, hard hats, face shields, surgical masks, and fall protection.
