$5,000 Hiring Bonus! The role is located in Omaha, NE and is full‑time within Maintenance‑General.

Hours & Schedule

Hours for the role are 6:00PM‑4:30AM, Wednesday‑Saturday. May be subject to change based on operations and business necessity. Weekend and overtime work will be required based on production and operational needs. This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the scheduled hours set by the Department Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Programming, High Speed Packaging and Processing Equipment
  • Advanced Computer skills – Windows, Excel, Word, Visual Basic, and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Instrumentation – Level, Temperature, Flow, Conductivity, Calibrations
  • Allen Bradley Software – RSLogix 5000, 500, RSLinx, Factory Talk View ME, RSNetworx
  • Allen Bradley Hardware – Control Logix, Compact Logix, SLC, Micrologix, Power Flex VFDs
  • Basic Networking – Ethernet, Controlnet, Device Net
  • Electrical Safety – 480

    VAC, Arc Flash, Mechanical Safety, LOTO, Food Safety
  • Electrical Control Panels – Assist in design and building of panels (Wonderware / Wonderware Historian experience a plus)
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and test malfunctioning components (pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical) on high speed machinery and process control systems
  • Inspect and perform system operational checks on high speed machinery, industrial control systems, and instrumentation systems
  • Analyze and assist in repair of components using conventional and digital multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters and hand tools
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test components and technical publications
  • Assist in design and building of industrial control panels for control upgrades or new equipment and processes
  • Assist, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production lines and associated assigned systems
  • Adhere to and keep documentation according to all established HACCP, SQF, KOSHER and internal guidelines
  • Coordinate with supplier, Production, Quality and other Engineering personnel to improve procedures and resolve problems
  • Perform all operations according to all established Safety Policies, Good Maintenance Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures
Work Experience / Knowledge
  • Two years of related experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, preferred
  • One to three years of work experience in industrial automation and control desired
  • Food Industry/Dairy Industry experience desired
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical diagrams, blueprints, drawings, P&IDs and technical service manuals
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department and/or maintenance crews
  • Assist in keeping work area clean
  • Experience with general office equipment, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
  • Weekend work may also be required and ability to work ON CALL off hours and rotating weekends (schedules may be subject to change)
  • Other duties as assigned
Education
  • Minimum

    Education Required:

    Associate degree in electronics, instrumentation or a closely related field; high school diploma or equivalent with technical or trade school automation
Working Conditions

  • Frequently kneel, head/neck movements, reach outward, reach above shoulder, drive/operate equipment
