You power up a Hurco VMC, load a proven program, touch off tooling, and dial in offsets. By mid-morning, you’ve refined a cycle to shave seconds without sacrificing a tolerance window as tight as 0.0005 –0.003 . After lunch, you move to a Haas lathe, adjust a finish pass, and verify dimensions with micrometers and gauges.

Before the day wraps, you collaborate with a teammate on work holding for a tricky stainless component—leaving both the machine and your setup notes clean, clear, and ready for the next run.

Your Impact Program, set up, and operate CNC Hurco and Haas mills and lathes to manufacture custom equipment components and aftermarket parts.

Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs to meet demanding specifications and efficiency targets.

Select tooling, determine machining methods, and establish work holding to achieve precision requirements.

Machine stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and other materials to tight tolerances (typically 0.0005 –0.003 ).Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings; verify results using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.

Inspect in-process and finished parts; troubleshoot and resolve setup, tooling, and programming issues.

Maintain safety, quality, and production standards while keeping work areas organized.

Collaborate with teammates to improve processes and continuously expand your machining skill set.

What You Bring2+ years in a machine shop environment.

Proven CNC programming and setup experience (mills and/or lathes).Background with Hurco and/or Haas controls preferred.

Experience machining stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics.

Ability to read prints and technical drawings; strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and work holding.

Competence with precision measurement tools; strong attention to detail and quality.

Reliable, organized, and able to hit production timelines with professional communication.

Motivated to learn new equipment, tooling, and methods.
