Assembly Supervisor

General Summary Majors Plastics is looking for a hands-on Assembly Supervisor to lead and support our production team. This role is responsible for supervising the shift and its personnel effectively and efficiently, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

The selected candidate will be assigned to 3rd shift and training will be conducted on 1st shift

Scheduled:
Monday - Friday with some weekends required.
1st Shift 6:30am - 3:00pm2nd Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm3rd Shift 10:30am - 7:00amEssential Job Functions
1. Supervise the production, training, and quality of employees.
2. Responsible for the maintenance of quality and calibration of assembly equipment.
3. Maintain efficient, ergonomically-correct workstations for optimal process speed.
4. Identify housekeeping opportunities while implementing corrections.
5. Report machine problems to maintenance and tooling work orders in a timely manner.
6. Ensure complete and accurate reports are completed on a timely basis.
7. Keep up-to-date records of operator hours and production and rework for daily reporting.
8. Do all product transfers, from warehouse to assembly room, both electronically and physically.
9. Help maintain proper inventory levels on both purchased and molded parts.
10. Perform all other duties assigned by upper management.
11. Administer safety procedures and programs to shift personnel.
12. Conduct daily shift kick off meeting relaying information to employees.
13. Input daily production/rejects into computer.
14. Assistant supervisors are responsible for daily verification of MPS accuracy to process, and make changes accordingly following change request procedure.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
1. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
2. Good oral and written communication skills.
3. High School Diploma.
4. Should be hands-on, technically inclined.
5. Computer experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
1. Normal periods of sitting, standing or walking.
2. The ability to travel between production facilities.
4. The ability to lift, push or pull up to 75 pounds.
5. Acceptable vision required.
