Full time senior pastor sought at First Baptist Church of Fairlea, WV. First Baptist Church of Fairlea is a medium‑sized Southern Baptist Convention church located near Lewisburg in the beautiful Greenbrier Valley. The church affirms the Baptist Faith & Message 2000, is financially sound, and is debt‑free with a strong focus on local, domestic, and international missions.

• Lead discipleship ministry leaders (Sunset Kids and Youth Leaders) and partner with key leaders to support parents and disciple kids of all ages.
• Directly oversee Community Groups, providing support, leadership, and active multiplication in line with the overall vision of the groups.
• Give pastoral care to the community and preach semi‑regularly (6–12 services per year).
• Partner with the Lead Pastor and Leadership Team to clarify and strengthen the discipleship pathway, recruiting, developing, and equipping key leaders.
• Support Community Groups and their leaders through coaching, equipping, and resourcing as needed.
• Assist in providing pastoral care and shepherding for the church, performing other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.

• Committed to following Jesus and to personal formation into His image.
• A disciple of Jesus who has made disciples of Jesus.
• Qualified to be an elder according to 1 Timothy 3:1‑7 and Titus 1:5‑9.
• Willing to join and engage with Sunset Community Church as an active member.
• Aligned with Sunset’s theological beliefs, distinctives, and ministry vision.
• Excited to partner together to pursue Sunset’s mission to “love God, love people, and love our city”.

• 3+ years of pastoral leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree;
  Seminary degree preferred but open to leaders God is calling who have taken a non‑traditional path, depending on experience.
